Font Dungeon
"Font Dungeon" is my attempt to design a dungeon crawler/roguelike game under a class-established time limit. The project was worked on over the course of about six weeks and required me to learn a lot of things I didn't know in regards to programming and complexities behind design. The game itself plays out as a fairly simple game where you play as a period (the punctuation), go through procedurally generated dungeons, destroy enemies, collect XP, and level up. In general it follows a fairly simple loop, but the overall concepting and designing is something I'm proud of.
I also view Font Dungeon as a showcase of my ability to pull together things in order to create thematically cohesive concepts. Even with simple designs and tools I am able to construct various areas that feel appropriate, alongside applying things such as environment and music that further convey the feel of a location. This is a skill I pride myself on as I feel like being able to pull together references for an idea is very valuable in this industry.
